It’s going to be hot again, tomorrow. Triple digits. And after we’d all put away our hot-weather hats, as my farmer friend says. Gonna have to get the hats back out.
I’m just now remembering that I was supposed to have a blog post today. Does it show?
I’m beginning to think my revision bag is out to get me. It’s great for hauling a project around… and it’s organized… but if I don’t take the thing back out of the bag, and put it somewhere I can see it, it’s out of sight, out of mind. I don’t have the same problem with the things I put in my purse. Maybe that’s just because I use my purse every day. So, do I have novel revision under my belt for the last week or so? Why no, I do not.
It’s a little counterintuitive. You’d think that having the bag so I can take it with me–and always be sure to have a pen handy–would help, but at the moment… I’m not sure it does.
So, I’m taking the manuscript out of the bag, and setting it up for my high-priority, early morning session. I should be able to get back into it pretty easily, once I start thinking of it.
I need a little more workspace. That’s really the truth. Or… I need to get in the habit of taking the manuscript out and working somewhere else. One or the other.
