And Enter April

I finished out March with 16,612 words. I’m not sure that’s exactly the number I wanted, but it is better than I’ve been doing, lately. I’m further into my revision. I’m making progress.

So, starting in on April, I’m working on the same good habits that I had in March. With the evil virus out to get me, the one that I’m most concerned about is that “exercise” thing at the bottom of the list. I need to be very conscious of that. We’ll see how it works out.

In addition to the revision (which… obviously, is another habit I need to get into), I am working on two main projects. In theory, they could both be finished and ready to revise by the end of the year. I am also working on getting more of what I already have written typed. Apparently, there is no good fairy who will swoop down and type manuscripts for writers while they sleep. I’m typing as I go, but I still have a shameful backlog.

I have to find a good, solid Viking name for one of my main characters. You’d be proud of me. I’m using a placeholder that is actually a name this time around. I don’t like changing characters’ names.

Beyond that? I’m looking for boredom busters. Things that I’ve never done before that I can do without leaving the comfort and safety of my own home. Do I have to name the ideas I’m fiddling around with? Probably not. Maybe. We’ll see.

Maybe I’ll take up a musical instrument. Something other than the CD player.

Onward.
