People who have been around for a while know that April isn’t the greatest time for me. It’s been a while, but I’m still not entirely past that “oh” feeling of hitting the anniversary of a death. Oh, yes. That’s right.

One end of the month is a birthday… and I still have that last birthday present wrapped and ready to go… and the other end… that’s the death.

So, naturally, I’m contemplating launching myself into a the querying trenches.

I’m divided on that. Part of me wants to wait until a more auspicious month. May would be better. The chicken entrails said.

And part of me just wants to get out there and do it.

I’m still working on the exact configuration of semi-colons in my query letter.

I could… in theory… actually not finish until May.

We’ll see. I suspect the right answer is probably move forward. It almost always is.
