Events and Happenings

One of my stories was accepted for the Halloween episode of the Alone in a Room With Invisible People podcast… And AIRWIP is ending. Don’t hyperventilate. My story will still be presented, but there won’t be any more podcast episodes after Halloween.

I think it had a good run, as two-person podcasts go.

And…

Now I need a replacement market for my NanoWriMo project. I’d included AIRWIP with my commitments for 2021.

I’m settling on getting out ahead of my goals during Nano. I don’t need another speed-novel in my to-revise pile. I might not finish it, and I almost certainly wouldn’t revise it. That’s where I am, right now. The revise pile is getting too high. Choices have to be made.

I am working on the Viking revision, and Space Refugees are calling to me. don’t have the faintest idea what I’d do for a full-length nano project.

And… strangest thing happened to me, the other day.

I ran out of paper.

I buy the stuff by the case, so usually all I have to do is go to the cupboard and pull out another ream.

This time? No. What do you mean, I’m out of paper? Out out? Really out? Not even a couple sheets of dingy gray economy paper?

Yup. Go to the store for an emergency ream, and order another case.

Obviously, this catastrophe had to happen midway through a copyediting project I’m working on for a friend.

Just when you think 2020 can’t get any more apocalyptic…

Congrats on the acceptance! That’s awesome! I’ve got a big list of places to market short stories going up in this month’s Author Toolbox post, so feel free to hop over and copy/paste when it goes up 🙂

I’ll have to check it out! To be honest, I’m not even sure what 50k in short stories looks like, so I’m using markets to give Nano some structure.
